Brothers, Sisters and Friends,
Saturday January 16 was another busy day.
First, was an official visit at Roosevelt James No. 241. After this visit several brothers and I made a drop off of disaster relief supplies at Jefferson Park Ministries in Elizabeth.
As a sponsor for NJ4Haiti.org this was the first of many deliveries of goods by Job Grand Lodge and Bethune Grand Chapter. The Grand Lodge and Grand Chapter has several collection points in Trenton, Paterson, Newark, and Jersey City. The first delivery of supplies will be leaving on Thursday.
I want to thank the brothers of Roosevelt James No. 241, St. Marks No. 121, St. James No. 37 and Cedar No. 69 who traveled with the Deputy and I to make this delivery.
After the relief effort I attended a Grand Officer meeting held by the Deputy Grand Master. The Past Grand Master and I, Ill. Emory D. Faucette watched them practice the opening.
Before and after this practice I visited William J. Hughes No. 71 who also had a meeting at the Grand Lodge during this time.
Next, another official visit was made to Mt. Herman No. 210.
Following Mt. Herman No. 210, another visit was made to Clifford Alford No. 165. During this communication, I was privileged to observe the conferring of the Fellow Craft's Degree on 4 brothers.
The final visit of the evening was to Doric No. 6. During this visit I had the fortune of seeing Past Master Ricky McSwain who I have not seen in some time.
Fraternally,
Ill. Raymond L. Smith, 33°
